| Ursynów- general information
Ursynów district lies on Warsaw Plain about 20-30 meters above the Wisla River and makes up the south part of the city. It is the third largest borough in the capital. Ursynów stretches over an area of 44,6 km2, constituting 9% of the all area of the capital. At the end of 2000 Ursynow's population stood at 115 000, corresponding to 6,8% of the entire population of Warsaw. Ursynow is now transforming into a high standard living area. Here is the only underground line in Poland, so communication with the centre is very good and comfortable. The area has a mixed character. The eastern part, also known as tall Ursynów is a big complex of housing estates, bordering the picturesque Kabacki Forest (a natural reserve) in the south. The western part consists of a small commercial area and a stretch of former villages along Puławska Street, called "Green Ursynów". Ursynów has also many places which are interesting to go.
